Adventure mission: discover the amazing variety of seeds

      Activity type: outdoor adventure

Age: perfect for primary aged children, but great fun for all the family to enjoy together!

Location: outdoors in garden or park

Season: plants produce seeds at different times of year, but late summer/autumn/early winter is often the best time to do this activity.

Record: check out the 'Capture your Autumn Adventure' section to find out more about recording your findings

Health and safety: some of the plants may have sharp thorns or be near stinging nettles. Look out for these and if possible we encourage you to wear long sleeves while investigating. The fruit eaten by animals may be poisonous to humans, so you should not eat anything without the permission of the adult in charge.
