Why do people hang up plants in their homes over winter? How can tree bark help you fight a cold? And what is frankincense? Find out the answers to these questions, and more.
Each video shows a different way that we use plants in wintertime, including festive celebrations such as Yule and Christmas. You can choose to make a posy decoration, mull some apple juice, sing a song or listen to a traditional Celtic story.
Follow up activities have also been included, such as a 'Spot the Spice' quiz and instructions for making clove-studded orange decorations.
We'd love to hear about any of the seasonal activities you're doing in school involving plants - please do drop Amy a line on plantkindlearning@rbge.org.uk to tell us what you're up to or to share any photos!
