  • Colour Quest

    This activity involves identifying colours on leaves and flowers. Black and white versions of the worksheets are provided , if colour photocopying is not an option.

      Children mark the number of different plants they see with each leaf colour. They then repeat this for flower colours.

      Pupils use tally marks to record how many different plants they see with each leaf colour and then calculate the total. They then repeat this for flower colours.

      Colour Quest - Second level

      Pupils record the leaf colours they have observed on different plants and then name or describe the plant.  They then repeat this for flower colours on plants.  

      As an extension activity they can then look for variegated leaves (those with two, three or more separate colours) and name or describe the plant.  They can then repeat this for flowers with more than one colour.
