Shape Search
This activity explores shape in whole plants, leaves and flowers. All involve the identification of seven shapes likely to be observed in plants: circle, cylinder, triangle, rectangle, star, heart and rectangle.

Children should mark how many times they see each of the seven shapes.

Pupils should find three examples of each of the seven shapes and write a description of where they observed that shape on the plant.

Pupils should find different species of plant. For each one, they should record where any of the shapes can be observed on that plant.
