    This activity explores plants and their parts in non-standard measurements with appropriate vocabulary.

      Children identify leaves or flowers of different sizes, and then they repeat this for whole plants.

      Pupils identify leaves or flowers of different sizes, and then they repeat this for whole plants.

      Additionally they could also:

      • estimate the size of a leaf/flower and then measure it
      • convert the  measurement in the description to cm/m before they visit the green space
      • measure several leaves or flowers of the same type and calculate an average
