    What’s the Plant-Kind resource all about?
    

    This Plant-Kind resource was inspired by the amazing biodiversity-friendly work in schools and early years settings. It's a platform where teachers and learning practitioners can share examples with each other – whether they’re big or small, we celebrate them all!

    The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) is part-way through a 4-year Planting Connections project made possible by the National Heritage Lottery Fund, thanks to National Lottery Players. This project reaches out to schools and community groups across Scotland to highlight the importance of plant biodiversity. We’ve seen wonderful plant-kind activities taking place in learning settings and want to showcase these. 

    Who's this resource for?

    The plant-kind examples will be useful to teachers and learning practitioners – and potentially to pupils who are part of environmental leadership groups like eco-school committees etc. 

    How will this resource grow?

    There is no one way to be plant-kind, so having lots of examples will help us all to get inspired! We plan to grow this resource until the end of 2026, so please keep checking back every few months for new ideas and activities. We’d love you to share something your school or learning setting has been doing that's plant-kind.
